DEARBORN, Mich, July 28, 2011 – the hot-selling Ford Explorer is the most efficient fuel
SUV seven-passenger market, delivering a certified EPA 28 mpg in places with
EcoBoost engine a new 2.0-litre. This is the first application of this advanced engine

Now launching in exploration, this advanced four-cylinder EcoBoost engine provides the
optimal balance between fuel efficiency and power supply in power 240

Ford's new EcoBoost 2.0-litre engine combines turbocharging and direct injection petrol with
lower total displacement, comparable power delivered in a standard V6 engine and

engine technology.
EcoBoost is a comprehensive strategy of Ford, to provide fuel efficiency accessible to millions of drivers
