A former Night selling for $ 350 000

Lineup for the upcoming auction car Quail Lodge in California has tons of impressive vehicles, but this may be our favorite.

This 1964 Lincoln Continental Limousine was specially adapted to the request from the Vatican, Pope Paul VI in the streets of New York, when he visited the United Nations to discuss world peace in Bonhams in 1965, under which the auction is running (via The Guardian).

Special Pope approved facilities include outdoor step plates and handrails for safety, additional seating "collaborators and prelates," a raised seat for the Pope and the public address system.

The car also has a transparent rear part and a removable roof, which the Pope addressed the crowds, who came to him. Today, the Pope travels in a bulletproof hybrid.

But that's not all.

Three years after the limo driver was used for the Pope Paul IV, carrying astronauts from several Apollo missions, including Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong, in the streets of Chicago during the show tapes in their honor.
