Read the highest stolen cars by 2010 from the Office of the national insurance crime, I wondered: what is it with 1994 Honda Accord that thieves so irresistible?
Some of the agreement and the Honda Civics from the 1990s, together with the 1989 Toyota Camry, dominated in the past eight years. In the name of the variety NCIB cuts duplicates from his top 10 lists, said public affairs director Frank Scafidi. It is possible, then, that the next year of the agreement would be another candidate from the list. (Version of 1996, he was also a very popular destination in 2010.)
the 1994 Accord, however, was special. Year, changed the Honda Accord and changed under the hood. That change in the full model, as they say, would be accompanied by a big publicity push, said Chris Martin, a spokesman for Honda, in an interview.
Thieves are likely to be interested in the mid-1990s, mnoholetou simply because there's so many of them still on the road, said Martin. Demand for spare parts may hold shady actors in the business.
"I think a lot of vehicles are stolen in order to Split it," Martin said.
Honda stopped, sales contracts, but that's a lot harder to steal. In 1997, Honda started a tiny microchip within the car keys. If someone tried to start the car without a key, the car just wouldn't start. (This may be outdated, but other methods, such as the management of the tow truck with a foldable bed, still functioning, Scafidi notes.)
The report divides the NCIB State theft, offering plenty of opportunities to draw links between thieves aut preferences and the way in which we now live. For Example:
Texas is the only State where full Chevrolet Tahoe is a list, and five of the remaining nine vehicles on the list are pick-up trucks, in Michigan, list of the top 10 was comprised solely of American cars; The Dodge Caravan minivan--mostly--were among the most frequently stolen cars in Delaware, Kansas, North Carolina, North Dakota and Vermont. In Missouri, the caravan was the No 1 choice for thieves, 1990s. Subaru Legacy are prized cars in particular, the thieves in Montana, Oregon, Maine and Vermont; In New York entitled to fame: it is the only State with a Ford Econoline E350 van on its list.In Maryland, 1999 Ford Crown Victoria-vehicle promoting cult rights — made the list.
