DETROIT--Chrysler RECALLING nearly 250 000 Ram pickups, because a bad part of the management system can cause the driver to control the supply.
Ram is Chrysler's best-selling vehicle. The appeal covers 242,780 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickups from model years 2008 to 2011.
State Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Wednesday on its website that the part near the left front wheel fracture and potentially cause a failure.
The problem happens in a low speed when drivers are making turns. Chrysler says the driver reports some minor errors and minor injuries.
The affected models include four-wheel sensor 2008-2011 Ram 2500 and 3500 and 2008-2011 Ram 3500 powered two rounds of the chassis with cab made of 14. February 2008 to 28. March 2011.
Also affected are the 2008 Ram 1500 mega cab four-wheel models produced from 14. February 2008 to 15. August 2008.
In addition, Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks produced from 2003 through 2008 model also recalled to the same part has been replaced with the drive during a regular service.
Chrysler Group LLC sold more than 734,000 Ram pickups from 2008 until June 2011, according to Autodata Corp. Ram 1500 is a standard, while 2500 and 3500 models are designed for difficult tasks.
Chrysler will check trucks and replace left outer tie rod, and align the wheels free of charge, if necessary.
