We've briefly mentions the places above fuels with ethanol, 15% added, or E15 in the past and how many groups fighting for approval due to potential damage that could be done on older vehicles and small engines. Well, the EPA E15 has been officially approved for use in later vehicles 2001 and later, plus flex-fuel vehicles.
However, the EPA banned the use of E15 in vehicles that are older than the year 2000 model, off-road vehicles, heavy-duty vehicles, motorcycles, personal watercraft, small engines, power equipment, snowmobiles and similar.
So we must ask ourselves why still adopt at all? Seems like a rather limited market and a potential for mistakes to be made. Also, we must ask ourselves if any gas stations will bother to sell such a blend is in the room will be charged and probably do not justify much profit from it.
We should stick to our guns here and say the EPA has made a bad decision on E15, but allows operators and users of petrol engines, BEWARE!
