Lewis Hamilton is realistic about his chances of victory at Hungary in spite of his victory in the previous race at Germany.
The McLaren driver took his second win of the season at the Nurburgring circuit after one of its strongest year weekends so far.
Hamilton, however, admitted on Thursday that his car will not be faster at the Hungaroring circuit on this weekend.
"The car no changes." "I am confident in reliability, performance, but definitely he is not here, the faster car," said Hamilton.
"We know each other yet they have a very competitive car that meets certain conditions, and the Red Bull has been fast in every single track throughout the year."
"It was fast in the last race, he still grabbed pole, whereas we do not have a car that is fast around the world." "It is fast in some places, not so fast in others."
The British recognized his victory in Germany had been a boost for the team after a couple of hard racing, and is hopeful McLaren can make another push to keep fighting for victories this year.
"Weekend probably brought something special to the team, and hopefully have been encouraged to push even more than they have ever pushed before", he said.
"I am pushing and pushing and pushing and sometimes have to break through a wall of caution."
"I am that pushes beyond the boundaries, and is the team that are those who try to keep it under control, but we pushed through the boundary of this weekend."
"When I spoke with them on Monday, as us we raised our limit, raised our margins and now have more space and we can keep pushing more and that's important."
He also downplayed his chances of starting from pole position at Hungary, despite come to beat up Red Bull in Germany.
"We have not had pole of 18 races, something as well as by what it has been over one year since we had pole, so it does not come here thinking that we can achieve the pole".
"If it will be a blessing." It is good to start from pole. I've done that a couple of times here and makes it much easier, although losing to Massa in 2008 ".
The McLaren driver also hoped that the climate there is not too hot this weekend, as he warned his team can fight then.
"I don't speak too soon." You never know over time because it could quickly be hot tomorrow or the next day. I have heard that it is going better and better.
"On my iPhone says is going to be 22 or 23 degrees during the entire weekend, if true will be fantastic for us." "Any hot East weekend and then we could fight."
