WRC: Q and a: Loeb on Rally Finland

On the eve of the Rally of Finland, trapped AUTOSPORT with Sebastien Loeb to discuss their hopes of repeating their victory at the home of 2009 Ford Fiesta RS WRC.

P what happened last Friday in Ouninpohja. Is there a better way to spend the day?

Mikko Hirvonen: At best, really... not. No, actually there's no better way. It was fantastic. Each execution it did me smiling and thinking to myself how great that was all. Definitely a great place to drive a car rally, one of the best roads in the world. I did 380 (236 km) in which a day.

P is a record for a test day?

MH: No, not at all. A year did more than 400 miles in a day, but it is definitely more closely. Basically have the same length of a WRC round every day during the past four days (Jari-Matti Latvala led during the first two days).

Q. which probably answers the following question: is there a problem??

MH: not. None, only dinafem by driving and the car to keep more and better.

Q. which was secure in Finland with the focus, how was the party compares?

MH: If he was sure the approach, I am double that with this car. It is simply fantastic here - controls completely different to the approach.

MH: It's definitely the management, but we have to see the opposition and that have the engine before we know for sure. But really, the way that feels the car handling is so fantastic.

Q. How will the hours set out in comparison with the test approach?

MH: I'm not sure. We have not tested in exactly the same place and yesterday would not have been possible a fair comparison because pissed - there was a ? of great rain storm which caused the very smooth road. But is it really useful test conditions, dry and hot and the humidity.

Q. who have fear in this rally?

MH: I don't know. As each rally, I think that the usual five: Jari-Matti [Latvala], Sebastien [Loeb], [Sebastien] Ogier and Petter [Solberg]. While in Finland, it will be close secure, worldwide fight.

P is not Loeb's strongest event, but...
